Everything you need to take part, in about two minutes of reading.
Starting a discussion
Press New discussion, pick the space it belongs in, and write a title someone could answer. Specific titles get more replies than dramatic ones.
Spaces are the rooms of the community: General, Questions & help, Tips & strategies, Showcase, Feature requests and Announcements. Pick the closest one — a moderator can move it if you get it wrong.
Formatting
The editor takes Markdown, with a toolbar if you would rather click than remember the syntax.
**bold**and*italic*`code`for anything that must be copied exactly, like a board name or a keyword> quoteto quote someone- itemfor a list,[text](url)for a link- Press Preview to see exactly how it will look before you post.
Images
Drag an image into the editor, paste it from your clipboard, or use the image button. Screenshots of your analytics are often the fastest way to get a useful answer.
Uploads are resized and compressed automatically, and location data is stripped from photos before anything is stored.
Votes, answers and saving
- Upvote anything that helped. It is how good answers rise.
- Mark as answer on your own thread when something solves it. The thread then shows as Solved.
- Save a topic with the bookmark icon to keep it in your own list. Nobody else sees what you save.
- @mention someone by name to pull them into a thread.
New accounts
For the first day, new accounts cannot post links or upload images. It is the quietest anti-spam measure we could find, and it lifts by itself — there is nothing to apply for.
Editing
You can edit your own post for fifteen minutes after posting. After that it is part of the conversation, and a reply underneath is usually clearer than a silent rewrite.
