20 pins targeting the same phrase — am i competing with myself

One blog post, twenty different images, all titled some variation of "budget bathroom makeover". In Google that's textbook cannibalisation and you'd consolidate. On Pinterest every guide says make more pins and not one of them mentions a downside. Does Pinterest pick one per query and suppress the rest of mine, or can several genuinely occupy the same results page? I've never seen more than two of mine in the same search, which is what's making me suspicious.
