Down about 70 percent over five weeks with no notices, no removed pins, no emails. Half the internet says shadowbans are not real and the other half sells a recovery checklist for them. Is there any test that distinguishes actual suppression from simply being ranked lower?
The check I use is searching an exact phrase from one of my pin titles while logged out in a private window. If the pin shows up, you are not suppressed, you are just not being pushed. Those are very different problems with different fixes.
Pinterest does not use the word shadowban and there is no screen anywhere that will confirm or deny one, which is exactly why the idea never dies. Nearly every case I have watched closely turned out to be an ordinary ranking shuffle that recovered on its own.
If it is real enforcement you normally get something visible. A pin removed, a board hidden, a notice on the account. Silence plus smaller numbers is ranking, not punishment.
