if i rewrite the title and description on a 2024 pin does it re-enter distribution

I have roughly 300 pins from 2024 with lazy descriptions, written before I understood keywords at all. Some of them sit on posts that still make money. If I go back and rewrite the title and description, does the pin get re-evaluated, or is its ranking already settled from when it published? I have read that updating text counts as a kind of freshness and I have also read that editing an old pin does literally nothing. Nobody seems to have actually measured it and I do not want to spend three weekends on this for no reason.
