Baking blog. Last year I started Christmas pins on November 1 and felt like I showed up after the party ended. This year I want to get it right but the advice ranges from 45 days out to four months out and those are wildly different plans. It is September 20 today. Am I already late?

Pinterest's own guidance has been around 45 days ahead of an event for years, and for something as large as Christmas most people I know go earlier than that because search starts climbing well before. Stop arguing with the generic number and use Pinterest Trends on your actual terms: publish when the curve starts rising, not when it peaks. For christmas cookies in my data that is the first week of October, so you are not late, you are about right if you start now.
